How it is made
Marge Carson is known for its decorative finishes. Each one is applied by hand by our artisans, in several steps, on the piece itself.
Specialty Leaf is our family of specialty finishes. Leaf can also be laid as a trim, on the carving, mouldings and edges of a piece over its finish, where its design allows.
Before you choose
Because every finish is applied by hand, its texture, shading and antiquing vary slightly from piece to piece, and with the wood beneath it. A sample shows the finish, not an exact match.
Pieces that must match are best ordered together. When an exact match matters, our design team can arrange a strike-off sample for your approval.
Caring for it
Dust and polish with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Occasional polishing with a good, clear furniture polish keeps the lustre; carved and textured surfaces may want a soft brush now and then.
On wood, an occasional light coat of beeswax or neutral paste wax, buffed, does the rest. Felt pads under accessories keep the surface from scratches.
